Welfare & Safeguarding

Holland Sports Athletics Club takes the welfare of all its members extremely seriously.

The club has a responsibility to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults participating in athletics from harm, abuse and exploitation and to safeguard their wellbeing. This includes adopting and implementing consistent and robust safeguarding policies and procedures to report safeguarding concerns.

Our club adopts UK and England Athletics' Child and Adult Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.

Our Club Welfare Officer is Nina Morrison, who is supported by Yee Masson. They can be contacted on: safeguarding@hollandsportsac.org.uk regarding any concerns. Alternatively, the relevant form can be completed and submitted to either Safeguarding Officer or directly to the UK Athletics safeguarding team at safeguarding@uka.org.uk. This form can be found in Appendix 2 of the HSAC Child Safeguarding Procedures document listed below.

The safeguarding policies and procedures and how they are implemented can be found below. We ask everyone to read them.

We also ask that all our members, officials and officers agree to abide by the relevant codes of conduct. By joining our club and/or being involved as a coach, volunteer, officer, official etc you are agreeing to follow the Club's policies and adhere to the codes of conduct.
